Overview

“Intuit Again” is a return to work program at Intuit for professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. If selected, you’ll receive 16 weeks of paid employment doing work you love for one of the world’s most innovative companies to help powering prosperity around the world! You’ll have the chance to update your skills, add new experience to your resume, and make new professional connections. After the 16 weeks of employment, there will be an opportunity for full time offer.

 

The program is open to anyone who has at least five (5) years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least two (2) years to focus on caregiving. If you meet these criteria and your skills match our needs, we welcome you to apply.

In this role, you can help engineer solutions that empower millions of businesses/customers worldwide. Your role is to work in small agile scrum teams to deliver awesome products that not only delight customers, but that are highly scalable and reliable. Using your detailed understanding of technologies and applying your intellectual curiosity you will help design, develop, and improve the features that help our customers run their businesses easily every day.

Responsibilities

  • Strives for Operational Excellence:
    • Deliver programs with high quality and speed
    • Drive areas for improvement and work with stakeholders to implement
    • Delivers on business and technical outcomes
    • Prepare and drive program roadmaps, involving multiple contributing teams and phases
  • Exhibits Boundaryless Leadership:
    • Drive and clearly communicate strategy, plans, status, risks and issues to stakeholders
    • Build trust, understand escalation paths and facilitate change
    • Partner with leadership to create an environment where the teams are recognized and feel encouraged
  • Technical:
    • Participate in the software development lifecycle
    • Assist in development of technical requirements and connect them to the project or program objectives to ensure all program outcomes have been met
    • Able to ask the right questions to help identify technical gaps and facilitate decisioning process
  • Strategically Focused:
    • Contribute to the program strategy and and deliver results as aligned with strategy
    • Prioritize within the project or program and surface trade-offs and recommendations to stakeholders
    • Demonstrate end-to-end thinking: Bring all of the critical pieces together – strategy, business goals, design, execution, technology, and customer needs
  • Critical Thinking:
    • Use independent judgement to provide options, assess data, and a recommendation for a decision
    • Identify risks and work with stakeholders to determine mitigation plans
    • Use data to assess progress to plan
    • Facilitate program resource and cost planning and management
  • Agile Delivery:
    • Organize the project or program into manageable pieces that can be tracked at the team level
    • Adjust the plan and adapt to changes and pivots as needed to ensure continuous speedy delivery against business outcomes
    • Partner with leadership to create an environment where the teams are recognized and feel encouraged

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in software development or program management, leading technology focused programs
  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • CSM, agile training and agile experience preferred
  • PMP or MBA strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships across teams in delivering the best outcome of programs
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering
