As a Content Marketer, you will be responsible for finding new audiences for Intuit by helping to create and distribute high-quality content. You will work with a fast-paced content marketing team to influence content strategy, identify audiences, build contact lists, nurture relationships, and conduct research. You will work closely with copywriters, designers, and other members of the marketing team to bring your ideas and campaigns to life. You will be an excellent, persuasive communicator — both verbally and in writing — who understands why editors choose to publish or reject content. Persuasive communication is key to success in this role, in addition to setting your own goals, tracking your performance, independently managing projects from start to finish, and improving processes and outcomes along the way. Building targeted, well-researched contact lists of editors, journalists, bloggers, etc.

Responsibilities

  • On a significant basis, pitching to editors, journalists, bloggers, etc.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with editors, journalists, bloggers, etc.
  • Working with the content team to determine the primary objective for new content based on detailed research.
  • Working with designers and copywriters to create high-quality web content.
  • Identifying future content opportunities using relationships with editors, journalists, bloggers, etc, editorial calendars, mediagenic topics, and in-depth research into time tracking related topics.
  • Writing persuasive pitches to send to editors, journalists, bloggers, etc.
  • Using data to measure and learn from the effectiveness of your work on an ongoing basis.
  • Using project management skills to ensure each project is delivered on time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in media relations or journalism
  • Direct experience either pitching content ideas OR receiving pitches for content ideas
  • Strong track record of creating web content that performs well against measurable objectives
  • Persuasive communicator with proven copywriting skills, including the ability to write great headlines
  • Ability to negotiate successfully and maintain good relationships while doing so
  • Fundamental knowledge of SEO

 

Advantageous:

  • Additional experience in content marketing
  • Existing relationships with writers and editors
  • Comfortable working with data
