Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer role is a technical leadership cum hands-on role with deep technical responsibilities which range from being at the vanguard of solving technical problems to venturing into unchartered areas of technologies to solve complex problems.

 

  • Design and build advanced app features for the iOS platform partnering closely with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, UX, Operations and Business Partners.
  • Provide technical leadership and be a role model (coach/mentor) to software engineers
  • Passion for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms. Also responsible for fostering this culture across the team.
  • Provide recommendations on new and emerging technologies, technology prototypes, patent proposals, and engineering process improvements by leveraging their experience and industry trends.

Qualifications

Qualification:

  • BS/MS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ year of software engineering experience in iOS

 

  • Proficient with Objective-C, Swift and Cocoa Touch and other iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Foundation, UI Kit, GCD, etc.
  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
  • Have published one or more iOS apps in the app store (personal or company one)

 

  • Solid grasp of software fundamentals and their practical application
  • Good understanding of the full mobile development life cycle

  • Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
  • Outstanding partnership skills
